It can seem intimidating to a beginner, but learning to use the modern sewing machine is the first step to an enriching hobby, as well as a practical craft. This introductory course will demystify the art of machine sewing with a beginner friendly overview of the supplies you’ll need, and will familiarize you with the basic parts and functions of the machine. Finally, learn to thread and work the machine in preparation for Part 2 of this program, where we’ll get started working the fabric and reading patterns. Please note that patron access to the machines will be limited by time and number of attendees. Thank you to SewVacDirect, whose kind donation of these sewing machines made this program possible.
